The last 12 months have been a challenging time for all of us. But as spring rolls around this year, there’s hope in the air again. Travel restrictions across the country have been easing as vaccines have become more and more available.
As March comes to a close, Fresno county has finally graduated to Tier 2 of our COVID relief plan. That means restaurants are free to open for indoor dining at a limited capacity. Likewise, gyms and fitness centers can open their doors once again. And a quick look at the data on the county’s website linked above suggests that we’ll find ourselves in Tiers 3 and 4 in no time.
While local businesses begin inviting customers inside for the first time in months, travelers are beginning to stir as well. The Fresno Yosemite International Airport’s “Ready to Move You Forward” campaign details its plans to bring more people in and out of local airspace.
New flights to Los Angeles and Mexico City have already hit the skies for multiple airlines. And flights to Chicago, Vegas, Denver, and Seattle are already being booked for the coming months. These new flights coincide with improved safety protocols, including enhanced cleaning practices, plexiglass protections, and one-way foot traffic in the airport.
