For those that are able to do a short getaway for Valentine’s Day, there are many places you can go, even on a budget! If you want to get away for a long romantic weekend, consider some of the following places. Whether you are looking to have an active Valentine’s Day or enjoy a spa weekend, there is something for everyone.
With stunning views and many activities available, many places on the West Coast offer the romantic getaway you want. Wine country is a great choice for any romantic weekend, and comes with some amazing views. For a more active weekend, consider any of the National Parks in the area, from Yosemite to Yellowstone. Check to see what hotels in the area have spa packages available; that way, you can enjoy a hike and a relaxing couples massage after! You could also explore cities you’ve never been to; Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco are all fun and exciting places to go with your significant other.
During February, your go-to may not be the East Coast; however, the scenery is gorgeous, and there are many indoor things to do. Additionally, there are plenty of bed-and-breakfasts along the coast that are perfect for a Valentine’s Day weekend. Places such as the covered bridges in Vermont are picturesque and make for a beautiful drive to your inn of choice. A weekend in New York City is great for some couples; take in a Broadway show, enjoy some delicious food, and spend a day exploring the city!
Ultimately, wherever you are in the world, you can find something perfect for Valentine’s Day. Look at where you live, and how far you are willing to drive if you do not want to fly, and find something in that area! Whether you live in the Midwest, California, or internationally, there will always be something fun to do within driving distance!
